Hazel R. McLaney (1922-2012)
Hazel R. McLaney, 89, Somerset, died May 13, 2012 at her home. Born June 20, 1922 in Stonycreek Township, daughter of Charles W. and Linnie (Platt) Rhodamer. Preceded in death by parents, husband Charles J. McLaney who died July 5, 1991, sisters Orpha Stern and Edna Gilmore. Survived by sisters and brother: April May Berkey; Leon Rhodamer, Pauline Will and husband Donald all of Somerset and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Hazel is a 1939 graduate of Stonycreek Twp. High School. She was a lifelong member of Rayman Church of the Brethren where she had taught Sunday School and was a Deacon. Friends received 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012 with the Rev. Charles Mahon officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to Rayman Church of the Brethren, 999 Welsh Hill Road, Somerset, PA 15501.
