Alan Wayne Dull, 70, of Somerset, PA, died September 18, 2017 at HJ Heinz Community Living Center, Pittsburgh.  Born October 23, 1946 in Waynesboro, PA, he is the son of the late Donald Creager and Dorothy Delma (Dull) Hammond.  Survived by his wife the former Dixie Lee Brown to whom he was married 49 years, children; Amy Barron and husband Mike of Somerset, and Alan "Jake" Dull married to the former Jamie Woods of Brandon, MS, grandchildren; Dustin Barron and wife Taylor, Shay Lee Barron, Chelsea Klejka, and Jake A. Dull, also survived by his sisters and brothers; Carolyn Bumbaugh of Waynesboro, Brian Hammond and wife Brenda of McConnellsburg, Kirk Hammond of Fayetteville, and Glennda Lowson and husband Tom of Mont Alto.  Alan is a 1965 graduate of Waynesboro High School, a US Army Veteran of Vietnam, he worked until his retirement in 2011 as a sales rep. for MEI Systems, he was a member of Center Church of the Brethren, VFW Post 554.  Alan loved God, helping people, and spending time with his family.  Friends received 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Homer Painter officiating.  Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Pittsburgh Fisher House University Drive C, Building 33 Pittsburgh PA 15240.
