Anne Marie Barbera, 87, of Somerset, died June 10, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born February 11, 1929 in Washington D.C. the daughter of George Vincent and Margaret (Slattery) Repetti.  Preceded in death by her parents, brothers: George, Francis, and Joseph, and sisters: Elizabeth, Mary, Catherine, Agnes, and Louise, also son-in-law Samuel Sanner.  Survived by her loving husband Nathaniel A. Barbera, children: Jeanne M. Barbera and husband Vincent Vaghi of Potomac MD, Joseph A. Barbera and wife Elizabeth of Darnestown, MD, Eileen B. Melvin and husband Matthew, Vincent J. Barbera and wife Melanie and Theresa Sanner all of Somerset.  She was also a special mother to Betty Christy and her husband Barry who is deceased, Mark Brown and wife Tami, Patrick Brown and wife Susan, Christina Brown Mader and husband Kirk, and Matthew E. Brown; grandchildren: Theresa Vaghi, Vincent Vaghi Jr. and wife Katherine, Francesca Vaghi, Christopher and Andrew Barbera, Brian Barbera and wife Nina, Francis Barbera, Elise Saur and husband Ben, Lauren Fink and husband Mike, Damian Melvin, Emily Melvin, Chadd Miller and Randi Thomas, Vincent Barbera and wife Stephanie, Nathaniel Barbera and wife Carla, Stephen Barbera and wife Katie, Anne Christine Clemens and husband Michael, Regina Coughenour and husband Andrew, Mark Barbera, Anthony Sanner and wife Jessica, Christina Webster and husband Byron, Anna Farrington and husband Francis, Maria Sanner, Andrea Hurd and husband Aaron and Anthony Sanner Jr., also 15 great grandchildren.  Anne is a graduate of Notre Dame High School and The Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. she had worked as a teacher of mathematics in Washington, D.C. and Riverton NJ,  and later for St. Peter's Catholic School, and as a substitute teacher for Somerset Area Schools.  She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, a founding member of Birthright of Somerset, she formerly was on the advisory board for Somerset Children and Youth, she was a longtime  4H Leader as well as a Pro Life activist.  Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset where a vigil for the deceased will be conducted at 5:45 p.m. Sunday.  Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset with Fr. Daniel J. O'Neill Celebrant.  Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Peter's Catholic School 433 W.
