Charles Franklin Morocco, 96, of Somerset, died July 24, 2017 at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.  Born August 8, 1920 in Somerset, he is the son of Biaggio and Flora (Revello) Morocco.  Preceded in death by his parents, wife the former Mae Elizabeth Shaulis who died May 19, 1992, brothers; George, Louis, Thomas, Nat, Robert, and Victor Morocco and sisters; Mary Gettings and Julia Baker, also special friend who was a ray of sunshine in the days after his wife's death Lois Shaulis.  Survived by his daughers; Charlotte M. Morocco, and Ann Becker both of Somerset, Sue Louise Bowser and husband D. Gregory of Coeur D'Alene, ID, Elizabeth Maul and husband William of Friedens, and Donna Morocco of Somerset, also 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and sister Viola Wilhelm of Somerset.  Charles is a WWII US Navy Seabees Veteran, he was a 1938 graduate of Somerset High School and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, he worked until his retirement as a math teacher for Somerset High School, he was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, life member of Somerset Vol. Fire Department, past scout master for B.S.A Troop 131, past director of Somerset Boro Emergency Management Assoc. and was Somerset County Radiological Officer Civil Defense.  Friends received 6-8 p.m.Wednesday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, a funeral mass will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset with Fr. Daniel J. O'Neill Celebrant.  Committal Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to St. Peter's Catholic School 433 W. Church St. Somerset, PA 15501. or Somerset Vol. Fire Dept. 340 W. Union St. Somerset, PA 15501. A vigil for the deceased will be conducted at 1:45 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, also a fireman's service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Graveside military rites accorded by the Somerset County Honor Guard. www.haugerzeigler.com
