Clarence Leroy "Growler" Ohler, 67, of Somerset, died May 22, 2016 at his home.  Born October 17, 1948 in Llanfair, PA, he is the son of John and Alma (Chaney) Ohler.  Preceded in death by his parents, brothers George and John, sisters: Amy Dorothy Miller, Alma Jean Benning, Shirley Slope and grandchildren Jonathan and Amanda Ohler, and his beloved dog Queenie.  Survived by his wife the former Donna Sheeler to whom he was married 45 years; children Steven Ohler married to the former Melissa Hilliard and Sally Coslic and husband Dennis, grandchildren Allen Ohler, Zachary and Rebecca Coslic, brothers William and Robert, sister Ellen Benning and sister-in-law Audrey Sheeler, as well as many nieces and nephews.  Clarence is a graduate of Shanksville High School, a US Army Veteran of Vietnam,  he worked as a heavy equipment operator for PBS Coals where he retired with over 37 years of service.  He was also a member of Beulah United Methodist Church, DAV 127 in Berlin, FOE, Glade Highland Tractor Association, Woodman life, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering on Growling Acres Farm, and spending time with his family.  Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset where a service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday with Reverend Thomas Brown Officiating, Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.  Contributions may be made to Beulah UMC 433 Bicycle Rd.
