George Raymond Beckett Sr., 78, of Somerset, PA, died December 7, 2017 at his home.  Born January 29, 1939 in Bedford, he is the son of Raymond Beckett and Elfrieda (Weyant) Harclerode.  Preceded in death by his parents, son Kevin Becket, and two infant twin siblings.  Survived by his long time friend and companion Violet Shaffer of Somerset, children: Cathy Esquivel, Ronald Beckett, Gregg Beckett and fiance Beverly, Vicki Lopez, George Beckett Jr. and fiance Dawn, Stephanie Beckett, Sherry Ash, and Terri Glessner and husband Kurt, 23 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, sisters: Carol Lott and husband Bob, Patricia Kinzey and husband Gordon, Margaret Fleegle, Connie Stiffey and husband Gus, and Sharon Bowser and husband Bill, also his puppy CoCo.  George is a 1957 graduate of Bedford High School, he worked until his retirement in maintenance for Bedford Borough and for Spangler Farm.  Friends received 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset where a service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday with Reverend J.
