Commander Henry Ludwig "Hank" Vogt Jr., 85 of Somerset, died January 24, 2017 at his home.  Born May 16, 1931 in Jenkintown, PA. He is the son of Henry Ludwig and Elizabeth Catherine (Stipp) Sr. Preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Elizabeth Allen and Jeanne Merritt.  Hank was loved, honored and respected by his family as well as his St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church family and Somerset community and is survived by his wife the former Phyllis Ann Scogin to whom he was married 39 years, children Hilary Peter and husband Bruce of Clemente, CA, Kyle L. Vogt and wife Carolyn of Oregon, Michelle Nelson of Asheville, NC, and Alissa Pope of Roanoke, Indiana; grandchildren: Joshua, David, Jeremy and Charissa Vogt and Andrea and Deanna Peter. Hank worked as a US Navy Commander serving in Korea and Vietnam until his retirement with 29 years of service, he was a past member and board member of the Somerset Rotary Club, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and St. Paul's Presbyterian Church where he had served as an Elder.  Friends received 12 noon-1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church Somerset, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Michael Dunlap officiating.  Interment Arlington National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Paul's Presbyterian Church 1845 N.
