June Elizabeth Schmidt, 89, of Champion, died October 15, 2016 with her family by her side at The Patriot, Somerset.  Born June 26, 1927 in White, PA, she is the daughter of Elgie and Ruth (Knopsnider) Coffman.  Preceded in death by her parents, husband William Schmidt who died March 27, 1998 and brother Elmer Coffman.  Survived by her children; Brenda J. Maser and husband Ronald of Pittsburgh, Barbara Ann Petersen and husband Ernest of Johnstown, Billie Sue Cahill and husband Terry of San Diego, CA, and Terry W. Schmidt and wife Ling of Mechanicsburg, also 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and her brother Allen Coffman and wife Cathy of Poconos, PA.  June is a graduate of Connellsville High School, she enjoyed doing cross stitch, gardening and playing bingo, and loved spending time with her family.  Friends received 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Reverend Keith Hauger officiating.  Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.  Contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.  www.haugerzeigler.com
