Leah Mardell (McGuire) Mitchell, 92, of Somerset, peacefully passed away on August 19, 2016 at Somerset Hospice House, Somerset. Born November 22, 1923 in New Lexington, she is the daughter of Abraham P. and Nancy Florence (Saylor) McGuire.  Preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard W. Mitchell who died November 28, 1975, her brother Elwood E. McGuire, and two beloved friends Jack Baker and Arnold Wiedner.  Survived by her daughter Connie Mitchell-Inks of Somerset, and grandchildren Jarred Romesburg married to the former Sarah Shively, Jonna Romesburg and companion Neal Bowlin, and Krystal Inks and companion Wesley Shaffer all of Somerset and two great-granddaughters Katherine and Madeline Romesburg, and several special nieces and nephews.  Leah was retired from the former J.C. Penny Company in Somerset, where she enjoyed her job and interacting with all people.  In earlier years she enjoyed playing golf, dancing, and traveling.  She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  At her request there will be no viewing or visitation a private service will be held at the convenience of the family.  Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.  Arrangements by Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset. www.haugerzeigler.com
