Mary Shoaff Urban, 89, of Somerset, passed peacefully into eternity on August 9, 2016 at The Patriot, Somerset. Born April 4, 1927 in Washington County, PA, Mary lived most of her life in Somerset.  She was the daughter of Wendell Holmes Shoaff and Isabel (Cook) Shoaff.  Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Jack Conrad Urban.  Mary is survived by her beloved daughters, Pam Ross of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Marte Beth Urban of Somerset. She is also survived by her loving sister Martha Epperson of Stow, Ohio and son-in-law, John Ross, McKinney, Texas.  Mary's grandsons were the love of her life.  She leave behind Justin Ross, wife Shannon and great grandchildren, Haylie, Jaxon Urban, Brennan, and Andrew, all of Colorado Springs. As well as grandson Zachary Ross, and his wife Jessica and great granddaughter, Evelyn of Queens, New York. Mary graduated from Somerset High School in 1945 and the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy the following year.  She was a lifelong member of Calvary United Methodist Church and involved with the Methodist Women.  Mary was an exceptional golfer and enjoyed many years of play at Middlecreek Golf Course, as well as at Pelican Pointe in Sebastian, Florida.  Being a mother was Mary's top priority and she lovingly dedicated many years of her life to her girls doing everything from Girl Scout troop leader to supporting the Tam O'Shanters.  Friends received 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Friday at the Calvary United Methodist Church, Somerset where a service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Arnold T. McFarland officiating.
