Mary Josephine Vinzani, 92, Somerset, died December 14th  2016, at Somerset Hospital, Somerset, PA. Born March 18th 1924, in Mount Pleasant, PA, daughter of Lewis Gabriel Trasatti and Anna Marie Vissari. Preceded in death by parents, brothers and sister: Pasquale, Lewis, Jr., Nick, Leonard, Rita , Vincent, and husband Benedict Gabriel Vinzani, Sr. in 2010. Survived by children: Anna Louise Inverso and husband Pete, McMurray, Benedict Gabriel Vinzani Jr., married to the former Marjorie Rice, Somerset, John Alfred Vinzani, married to the former Diana K. Atchison, Somerset, and Gina Marie Mostoller and husband David C., New Centerville, grandchildren: Natalie Summey and husband David, Cary Gross Jr. and wife Heidi, Benedict Gabriel Vinzani IV and wife Paula, Joyce Elise-Marie Vinzani, Shawn Allan Walker and wife Amber, John Alfred Vinzani Jr., Derick C. Mostoller and friend Courtney Dively, and Meredith Wisniewski; great-grandchildren: Kara, Carson, Jadeyn, Andrew, David, Kaleigh, Benedict V, Sara ,Morgan, Lillianna;  Also survived by brother and sisters: Leonard Trasatti, West Newton, Pa, Grace Kelly, Derry, Pa, and Adline Tylka, Mount Pleasant, Pa. also her extended family Judy Passaniti, Devon Weiss and the Elaine Augustine families, and special friends: Ann Zanoni, Becky Mapes, and Louann Harrington. Mary attended Ramsey High School in Mount Pleasant and enjoyed attending picnics with the Dutchtown Girls as well as painting ceramics.  As a young woman she worked in the coke ovens and did ironing for neighbors. After her father passed away, she worked to help support her family. She was a part of what is being called the “Greatest Generation”.  She was a member of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, Sons of Italy, and the 55 & Over Speeders. She delivered Meals on Wheels with her husband for many years. She loved to clean house and baby-sit for her grand children as well as several families through the years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services where a vigil for the deceased will be conducted at 1:45 p.m. Friday.  Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Somerset with Monsignor Samuel Tomaselli Celebrant.  Committal Somerset County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Special Olympics or Meals on Wheels. www.haugerzeigler.com
