Patricia Ann (Walker) Arthur, 88, of Berlin, formerly of Somerset, PA. died September 8, 2017 at Meadowview Nursing Center Berlin, PA.  She was a Somerset County Native, born in Johnstown, PA on January 8, 1929, the daughter of Attorney Leland Woy Walker and Vida (Boose) Walker.  Preceded in death by her parents, husband James John Arthur who died July 23, 1998, sister Joan Kraus, and son-in-law Keith Altman.  Survived by her children, Joanne Altman of Damascus, MD, Leland J. Arthur married to the former Elaine Watson of Purceville, VA, and Rhys M. Arthur married to the former Christine Larsen of Ellicott City, MD.  Also survived by her grandchildren Christina Altman, Ryan Arthur and fiancée Sarah Staley and Lauren Flodstrom and husband David.  Patricia is a 1946 graduate of Somerset High School, and graduated from Penn Hall College in Chambersburg PA. After College Patricia and her husband James resided in Silver Spring and Baltimore Maryland before returning to her Somerset Home with her husband in 1995. On her return to Somerset, Patricia was the former President of the Somerset Welfare League in which her Mother Vida B. Walker founded in 1938. She did volunteer work for the DAR (Daughters of American Revolution) where she was past Regent, Somerset Garden Club. Welcome Wagon, Page Turners Book Club, Somerset Historical Society, Children’s Aid Home, Johnstown Symphony Auxiliary, Somerset Hospital Board, Somerset Lunch Bunch, Bridge Club, past director of the Mary S. Biesecker Library, and Trinity Lutheran Church.  Patricia loved life and was friends to many people in her home town Somerset PA in which she loved so dearly. Her legacy will continue through her family and dear friends that supported her in her final days. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, a service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset, with Reverend Linda J.
