Paul Eugene Eicher, 79, of Somerset, died June 15, 2017 at his home.  Born February 4, 1938 in Somerset, he is the son of H. Kent and Mary Edith (Stutzman) Eicher.  Preceded in death by his parents, wife the former Carrie Arlene Barndt who died Oct. 10, 2010.  Survived by his daughters Judy Barndt of Friedens, and Christina Eicher of Harrisburg, sister and brother: Gloria Ann Coleman of Akron, OH and James E. Eicher and wife Virginia of Clinton, PA, aunt and uncle, Fern Beers of Ickesburg, and Fred Gross of Somerset, also brother and sister-in-laws, Paul and Dorothy Weyandt of Somerset, and Mary Jane Bell of Somerset, also special friend Joann Sayler of Garrett.  Paul is a 1956 graduate of Somerset High School, he worked until his retirement as a boiler plant operator for the former Somerset State Hospital, he was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sugarbush Car Club, AACA, and American Legion Post 181.  Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset where a service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Reverend Linda J. McElroy Thomas officiating.  Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.  Contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church 918 Tayman Ave. Somerset, PA 15501.
