Peggy Ann Blair, 82, of Somerset, died January 28, 2018 at Somerset Hospice House. Born in Greensburg, PA September 15, 1935. Preceded in death by her parents, James Albert and Mildred Sarah (Harrold) Blair, sisters Sandra Jill Blair and Lois Jean Blair. She is survived by her brother James Edward Blair and his wife Carole of Greensburg, PA; and a niece Kelly Diann Perry of Monroeville, PA. Peggy began her working career as a secretary for Somerset County Coal Operators Association in 1956. In 1959 she became a teller for County Trust Bank. She moved to Erie, PA in 1962 where she was a teller for Marquette Savings & Loan. In 1967 she returned to Somerset, PA and County Trust Bank where she was employed as a bookkeeper. She became the Drive-in Supervisor for PNC Bank in 1983. A very humble person, Peggy has been retired since 1997. Peggy was a member of Somerset Eastern Star Chapter 138 for over 50 years. She is a member of the Greensburg Church of the Brethren, but attended the Somerset Church of the Brethren most of her life, where she once served as a Sunday School Teacher. In 1954 she participated in the Somerset Sesquicentennial and rode on a float as the Rainbow Girls Worthy Advisor. She graduated from Somerset High School in 1953 where she played saxophone in the Somerset Band. Friends received 10-11 a.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Reverend Martha Beach officiating.
