Ray Manges Hauger, 92, of Stoystown Road, Friedens, died July 13, 2017 at Somerset Hospice House, Somerset, ending a 70 year marriage union with Thelma.  Born January 19, 1925 in Somerset, he is the son of Charles Robert and Mary Susan (Manges) Hauger.  Preceded in death by his parents; brothers Richard E., James H. and twin, brother Jay M. Hauger who was killed in action in WWII whiles serving with Ray in the Pacific aboard the USS Wasp, also grandson Eric M. Leister.  Survived by wife the former Thelma Ruth Miller, and their children, Lynn Hauger married to Wanita Walters, Minnesota, Brenda Leister and husband Larry of Berlin, Susan Landis and husband Kim of Penrose, CO, and Lowell Hauger married to the former Barbara Fair, Buckstown; also survived by, 6 grandchildren: Carissa Niemi and husband Andy, Alicia Hauger, Tara Miller and husband Mike, Jill Deulen, Zachary and Isaac Hauger; 6 great-grandchildren: Layken and Owen MIller, Lydia and Finn Niemi, Luke and Chace Deulen; also sister-in-law Loretta (Colbert) Hauger; step-grandchildren: Alan Kilgare and wife Vicki, Danielle Gallaway and Richard Delp and wife Amanda; step-great-grandchildren: Lilly, Brayden, Joyce, Mistique, and Allie.  Ray is a US Navy Veteran of 34 months serving in the Pacific Theater of Operations.  He worked until his retirement as a beef and dairy farmer.  Ray was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, and a lifelong member of VFW Post 554.  Friends received 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset where a service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday with Reverends Edward DeVore and Andrew Gannon officiating.  Interment Casebeer Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Somerset "In Touch" Hospice PO Box 1173 Somerset, PA 15501 or Friedens Lutheran  Church 131 S.
