Robert Randy DeWitt, 56, of Somerset, died June 18, 2016 at Conemaugh Hospice, Johnstown. Born June 11, 1960 in Somerset Hospital. He is the son and f Robert C. and Helen Lois (Hostetler) DeWitt. Preceded in death by his father. Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Margaret Marie (D'Aniello) DeWitt with whom he was always eager to spend his days with their children and grandchildren. Son, Robert A. DeWitt; daughter, Beth Stutzman and husband Benjamin; son, Jason DeWitt, all of Somerset. Bob's grandchildren were the light of his life: Hailey, Sophie, Noah, Sydnee, Sinjin, Austin, Colbie and River. Brothers: Jerry "Buck" DeWitt and wife Arlene, Rick DeWitt and wife Kandi, Russell DeWitt and significant other Brenda Speelman, Barry DeWitt, Sister: Ruth Ash and husband Donald; all of Somerset. Sister, Debra Kinneer and husband Bart of Acme. Robert attended Somerset High School, he spent most of his life working as a contractor. He was a member of VFW in Schellsburg. Bob enjoyed road trips, going to fairs, listening to bluegrass & country music and the many great years they spent camping & going to karaoke in Bedford.  Among his two greatest joys in life were his grandchildren and selflessly helping others around him. He touched the hearts of all who knew him and will be forever loved and missed very deeply. "When you are born, you cry and the world rejoices. When you die, you rejoice, and the world cries."   Friends received 9am to 12 noon Tuesday June 28, 2016 at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset. A service will immediate follow at 12 noon with the Reverend Dale Stotler officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you take a moment to reach out to share a random act of kindness with someone.
