Robert Clayton Tipton, 81, of Berlin, died April 21, 2017 at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin.  Born September 13, 1935 in Geiger, PA, he is the son of Pauline Margaret (Tipton) Whipkey-Mitchell.  Preceded in death by his mother, brothers Charles Whipkey Jr., Richard Whipkey, and sister Rose Brant.  Survived by his sisters; Shirley Barndt of Friedens, Barbara Coffman of Saxton, and Peggy Kaufman of Somerset, also numerous nieces and nephews.  Bob is a 1953 graduate of Somerset Township High School, he worked until his retirement as a meat cutter for Kroger's in Cleveland, he also loved gardening.  Friends received 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset and one hour prior to the service which will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Reverend Edward DeVore officiating.  Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.  Contributions may be made to Somerset Humane Society PO Box 182, Somerset, PA 15501. www.haugerzeigler.com
