Audrey Adel Knupp, 83, of Somerset, died September 28, 2019 at Somerset Hospice House. Born October 10, 1935 in Johnstown, she is the daughter of Victor E. and June H. (MacDonald) Lantzy. Preceded in death by her parents, and husband Jay Wilbur Knupp who died October 16, 1999. Survived by her children: Adele Bauer, Tim A. Knupp married to the former Robin Dunmeyer all of Somerset, Scott E. Knupp married to the former Linda Bonnoni of Avonmore, Jayne Knupp, Craig R. Knupp married to the former Linda Mostoller, and Blane J. Knupp all of Somerset, grandchildren: Jennifer Smith, Jessica Show and husband Michael, Krystal and Kelsey Knupp, Kaila Pekarek and husband Raymond, Britnee Knupp, Breezy Hemminger and husband Brett, Nicholas Popovich, Austin, Brady, Chloe, and Adison Knupp; great-grandchildren: Sydney, Samantha, Abigail, Luke and Lainey; also brother and sisters: Homer V. Lantzy of Wilmington, NC, Lois DiAndrea and husband Philip of TRC, NM, and Vickie Mills and husband Elwood of Wilmington, NC. Audrey was a 1953 graduate of Somerset High School, she worked various jobs in her life including a waitress for Pine Grill and Oakhurst, later for Laurel Plastics in Bakersville, and A.W. Francis, and the US Postal Service in Somerset as a mail carrier where she retired with 10 years of service. Audrey was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother, she enjoyed sewing and quilting, and donated many quilts to various charities. Friends received 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, and 10-11 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Bakersville where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Reverend Dena Gable officiating. Interment Bakersville Cemetery.
