Barbara Sue Charlton, 57, of Friedens, died January 12, 2018 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born April 3, 1960 in Somerset, she is the daughter of Reuben M. Walker Sr. and Hazel (Turner) Penrod. Preceded in death by her father, and brothers Randy and Ronald Walker. Survived by her mother of Johnstown, husband Randy Devon Charlton Sr. to whom she was married 41 years, children: Jessica Strayer and husband George of Somerset, Shawn Charlton and wife Bre of Raleigh, NC, Jennifer Charlton and boyfriend Raymond Younkin of Sipesville, Randy Charlton Jr. of Friedens, Barbara Swauger and husband Jimmy of Somerset, Kelly Hernandez and husband Frankie of Johnstown, Samantha Charlton of Friedens, and 9 grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Judy Manges, Richard Walker, Carol Perigo, Raymond Walker, Patricia Wildemann, Reuben Walker Jr., Lois Charlton, and Robert Walker. Barbara worked as a nurses aide at The Patriot where she enjoyed her job and taking care of the residents, she loved horses, Harley Davison's, shopping, soap operas, the holidays and being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Friends received 6-8 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset and one hour prior to the service at the church which will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Somerset Church of God with Bishop M.D. Herring officiating.
