Barry Richard Young, 75, of Stoystown died October 15, 2019 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born December 18, 1943 in Somerset, he is the son of the late Carl Wilson and Alma Ferne (Singo) Young. Survived by his children; Lee Ann Nicholson and husband Mark of Shanksville, and Carl R. Young married to the former Kristi Lizza of Stoystown; granddaughters; Kourtney Lizza of Somerset, and Carly Young of Stoystown; also his former wife Mildred Jane Landis of Uniontown. Barry was a graduate of Somerset High School, a Veteran of the US National Guard, and worked until his retirement as a mechanic for Beckwith Machinery. He was an avid hunter, and enjoyed spending time in the outdoors. Friends received 9-11 a.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Arthur Gotjen officiating.
