Bessie Louise Trent, 92, of Somerset formerly of Friedens, died July 11, 2017 at The Heritage, Somerset.  Born January 8, 1925 in Friedens, she is the daughter of William and Lissie (Meyers) Shaulis.  Preceded in death by her parents, husband Bruce Walker Trent who died March 20, 2014, brother Wayne Shaulis, an infant sister Rehmilda, and daughter-in-law Kathy Trent.  Survived by her children; Blaine Trent of Somerset, Beverly Jarabak and husband Andrew of Murraysville, and Robert Trent married to the former Barbara Berkey of Friedens, also survived by grandchildren; Rebecca Trent and husband Paul Lekas of Bethesda, MD, Bradley Trent of Auburn, MA, and Ashley Shaffer and husband Rick of Hollsopple, great grandchildren; Elio and Felix Lekas, Christian Trent, Aubrey, Brianne, and Zachary Shaffer, and sister and brother Wilma McCoy and husband Talmadge "Tom" and Harold Shaulis and wife Nancy all of Somerset.  Bessie was a graduate of Somerset Township High School, she was a member of Geiger Church of the Brethren, she enjoyed quilting and gardening.  Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Geiger Church of the Brethren, Friedens, where a service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday with the Reverends John and Linda Stoner officiating.  Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.  Contributions may be made to Geiger Church of the Brethren 185 Culligan Rd.
