Blaine Clarence Baker, 82, of Somerset, died May 9, 2019 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born April 12, 1937, he is the son of Clarence Allen and Marie Elizabeth (Grosskinsky) Baker. Preceded in death by his parents, wife the former Eileen Kay Bisel who died March 6, 2014, and great-granddaughter Nora Grace Kaufman. Survived by his children; Shari Onstead and husband Stephen of Somerset, and Brad Baker married to the former Tionna DiRemigio of Katy, TX, grandchildren; Lindsay Menhorn and husband Nathan, Jordan Kaufman and wife Colby, Ashley Thompson and husband Justin, Aubrey and Kelsey Baker, great-grandchildren; Chloe, Evelyn, Miles, and Hazel, and sister Helen L. Bowman of Meyersdale. Blaine was a graduate of Meyersdale High School, and a graduate of California Teachers College, he worked until his retirement in 1998 as an industrial arts teacher for Somerset Area Schools, he was a past member of Lodge 358 F&AM, and the Sipesville Church of the Brethren, and was currently a member of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren. Friends received 3-4 p.m. Saturday May 18th, at the Sipesville Church of the Brethren, Sipesville, where a service will immediately follow at 4 p.m. with Pastors Stephen Onstead and Cecil Lohr officiating.
