Dale Edward Pletcher Sr., 87, of Somerset formerly of Bando, died September 4, 2017 at The Patriot, Somerset.  Born June 20, 1930 in Rockwood, PA, he is the son of Edward and Elmira (Phillippi) Pletcher.  Preceded in death by his parents, and brother Merle Pletcher.  Survived by his wife the former Arlene Pearl Schrock of Somerset to whom he was married 59 years,  children, Dale E. Pletcher Jr. married to the former Theresa Younkin of Markleton, and Carol Elaine Pletcher of Somerset, also grandchildren, Jessica C. Walker and husband Stephen of Rockwood, and Andrew Pletcher of Markleton, also great-grandsons, Eli and Logan.  Dale served in the US National Guard, he worked until his retirement in maintenance for Laurel Hill State Park where he retired with over 30 years of Service.  Friends received 9-11 a.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Reverend James Monticue officiating.  Interment Westley Chapel Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Viaquest Hospice 607 Georgian Place, Somerset, PA 15501. www.haugerzeigler.com
