Donald James Pletcher, 84, of Sipesville died November 30, 2017 at his home. He was born January 20, 1933 in Johnstown and is the son of Clyde Kenneth and Vilma (Thomas) Pletcher. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert Pletcher, and sisters: Louise Blozovitch, Marion Geisel, and Dorothy Pletcher. Survived by his daughters: Kimberly Nemec and husband Richard of Winchester, VA, and Karen Custer and husband Timothy of Valley View, OH; grandchildren: Elyse Haines and husband Jonathan, Zachary Nemec and wife Melisa, Jaymes Nemec, Gavin and Emily Custer, also sister Shirley Miller-McAfee of Florida, and special friend and companion Sue Webb of Sipesville. Don is a 1950 graduate of Westmont High School.  He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He worked until his retirement for GTE.  Later, he was involved in many businesses including Classic Cones in Somerset. Friends will be received from 9-11 a.m. Monday, December 4th at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Arthur Gotjen officiating.
