Edward Emerson Schrock, 70, of Somerset, died October 22, 2017 at The Patriot, Somerset.  Born January 24, 1947 in Greensburg, he is the son of Garland Emerson and Martha Lelia (Sible) Schrock.  Preceded in death by his parents, sister Shirley F. Constantine, and an infant grandson Aaron Edward Short.  Survived by his wife the former Judith Ann Countryman to whom he was married 49 years, daughters, Rachele Schrock and Dawn Short and husband Brian all of Somerset, grandchildren, Linzy Ann Schrock, Tanner Lee Short and girlfriend Alexis Kalp, and Christopher Short and wife Micah, great-granddaughters, Kaelyn and Kynlee, sisters,  Betty Brown and Patricia Ream and husband Clark all of Somerset, and his friend and companion his dog Sparky.  Ed is a 1965 graduate of Hempfield High School, he worked until his retirement as a meat cutter for various grocery stores including A&P, he later worked for Somerset Area Schools, and Twin Lakes, he co-owned and operated with his wife Schrock's Snack Shack in Bakersville, he was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Trent Rod and Gun Club, and volunteered for the Blue Grass Festival at Laurel Hill State Park.  Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset where a service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Reverend Dena M.
