Ernest Joseph Pyle, 73, of Somerset, died April 25, 2018 at Somerset Hospital. Born December 27, 1944 in Greenville, SC, he is the son of Joseph Wallace and Elsie Jane (Reese) Pyle. Preceded in death by his parents, wife the former Kathy Louise Brant, son David Martin Pyle and sister Bernice Revello. Survived by his step children; Pamela Dawn King of Portage, Robert Squires and wife Wendy of New Windsor, MD, Christine Penzera and fiance Philip Meyers of Markleton, 10 step-grandchildren, and 4 step-great grandchildren, also brother Philip Pyle and wife Robin of Joppa, MD. Ernie is a 1963 graduate of Somerset High School, he was a US Air Force Veteran of Vietnam, he worked until his retirement in management for PennDot, he was a member of American Legion Post 181 and Laurel Falls Assn. Friends received 12 noon-2p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset where a service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. Interment St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Somerset Humane Society PO Box 182, Somerset, PA 15501. Military graveside rites accorded by the Somerset County Honor Guard. www.haugerzeigler.com
