Florence Shaffer, 90, of Somerset, PA, died July 11, 2017 at Somerset Hospital.  Born December 21, 1926 in Windber, PA she is the daughter of Simon and Florence (Ripple) Barnes.  Preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Edward Shaffer who died February 10, 1985, daughter Deborah G. Shaffer and son Ronald E. Shaffer, brothers; Herbert, Simon, Robert, and Alfred Barnes, and sisters; Dorothy Gunderson, Louella McGee, and Evelyn Whitaker.  Survived by her children: Perry W. Shaffer and fiancee Alla Bradley of Haverty Grace, MD, Loraine F. Stubblefield and husband Jack of Jamestown, TN, Kenyon L. Shaffer of Oakland, MD, Robin D. Ream and husband Dennis of Stoystown, and Oliver H. Shaffer married to the former Wanda Devine of Somerset, also 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.  Florence worked until her retirement as a clerk for the former JC Penny in Somerset, she was also a member of the Sipesville Church of the Brethren, and the Somerset Grange.  Friends received 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset and one hour prior to the service at the church which will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sipesville Church of the Brethren, Sipesville, with Reverend Cecil Lohr officiating.  Interment Husband Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to Sipesville Church of the Brethren 711 Sipesville Rd.
