Fredrick K. "Fritz" Morocco

Fredrick K. "Fritz" Morocco, 84, of Somerset, died April 12, 2019, at UPMC Somerset. Born February 20, 1935 in Somerset, he is the son of George and Ida Mae (Feller) Morocco. Preceded in death by his parents, and grandson Jarrett Morocco. Survived by his wife the former Janet Louise Schrock to whom he was married 63 years, children: Frank Morocco married to the former Gayle Bailey of Somerset, Suzanne Huls, and Vincent K. Morocco married to the former Elizabeth Curran all of Rockwood, grandchildren: Eric Morocco and wife April, Lacie R. Cumo and husband Evan, Alyssa B. Graham and husband Tyler, Samantha R. Huls, Nicole D. Huls, Danielle R. Steinbeck, and MaKayla M. Morocco, great-grandchildren: Genevieve, Sophia, Rozlyn, Brittany, Brooke, Kaden, and Ryder, also brothers and sisters: Robert F. Morocco of Somerset, Georgia Sheftic and husband Vinson of Stoystown, Kathy "Kit" Brant and husband Gerald, and Steven A. Morocco and wife Joyce all of Somerset. Fritz was a 1953 graduate of Somerset High School, he was a US Navy Veteran of Korea, he worked until his retirement in 1991 as a Line Supervisor for Penelec. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, and Laurel Hill State Park, a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he was in the Men's Trinity Fellowship, Beagle Club, Mountain Field and Stream, and Mountain Bowman, and past president of Bend-a-Shaft Outfitters of Idaho. Fritz loved to hunt and fish, play poker with his granddaughters, spend time with the King's Coffee Group, he was a wonderful builder and craftsman, he loved each and everyday, was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, and a friend to everyone. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset. A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset with Reverend Linda J. McElroy Thomas officiating.
