Glenn Miller Sr. Obituary

Glenn Ellis Miller Sr., 93, of Somerset, passed away December 10, 2018 at Somerset Hospice House, Somerset.   Born July 25, 1925 on the family farm in Somerset Township, he is the son of Ross Arthur and Melda Mae (Zimmerman) Miller.  He is preceded in death by his parents, wife the former Beatrice Weimer, stepmother Florence Witt-Miller, son Lee W. Miller, sister Freda Roberts, and brothers-in-law: George Roberts, and Ray Hauger.  Survived by his sister, Thelma Hauger of Berlin, children Glenn E. Miller Jr., Craig Miller married to the former Barbara Stutzman both of Somerset, and Trisha Miller of Mesa, AZ; five grandchildren: Brent Miller and wife Mary of Cleveland, Corey E. Miller of Dayton, OH, Mindy Zanolli and husband Zach of Canonsburg, Cassie Moon and husband Ross of Somerset, and Luke A. Miller of Austin, TX; eleven great-grandchildren: Paige, Gabrielle, Alexander, Blake, and Kyle Miller, Benjamin, Jacob, and Andrew Zanolli, Tyler, Anna, and Macey Moon.  Glenn was a 1942 graduate of Somerset High School and a proud US Army Veteran of WWII serving in the 20th Armored Division.  He was a member of VFW Post 554, and American Legion Post 181.  He was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a retiree from the US Postal Service with more than 35 years of service.  An avid golfer, he was a former member of The Legion League.  Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset.  A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset, with Reverend Linda J.
