Gordon Mihalik, 66, of Somerset, died August 30, 2017 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.  Born April 28, 1951 in Pittsburgh, he is the son of the late Rudolph and Gladys (Gordon) Mihalik.  Survived by his wife the former Amy Jo McClintock to whom he was married 40 years, children; Patrick Mihalik married to the former Stacy Karafel of Marietta, GA, and their son, Connor Mihalik; and Kelly Mihalik of Knoxville, TN; also sisters and brother; Robin Brandt and husband Jack, Lori Hanna, and Rudy Mihalik.  Gordon is a 1969 graduate of Hopewell High School. He is a US Army Veteran (Retired) where he received a bronze star and numerous other military accomplishments,  including serving in the Persian Gulf War.  He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, and enjoyed spending time with his family.  Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset.  A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Somerset with Reverend J.
