Jean Austin

Jean Austin, 89, of Somerset, passed away June 14, 2019 at her home. Born August 12, 1929 in Brothersvalley Twp., she is the daughter of Joseph Henry and Henrietta (Miller) Fullerton. Preceded in death by her parents, husband William A. Austin who died October 6, 2008, brothers: Cahrles, Merl, James and Ray Fullerton, and brothers-in-law John Landis and Paul Campbell. Survived by her sisters Betty Landis of Zionsville, IN, and Hilda Campbell of Rittman, OH, and brother Jack Fullerton and fiance Pam Miller of Meyersdale, sister-in-law Mary Ann Fullerton of Meyersdale; also survived by special friend Darlene Fullerton of Somerset, and many nieces and nephews. Jean was well known as a local painter who did private work for many people in Somerset Country. The family would like to give a special thank you to Pam Miller, Darlene Fullerton and Somerset "In Touch" Hospice for taking care of Jean. Friends received 1-3 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 3 p.m. with Reverend Duane Riddle officiating.
