John Eugene Nicklow

John Eugene Nicklow, 70, of Somerset, died May 16, 2019 at his home. Born June 18, 1948 in Acosta, he is the son of John Gerwood and Ellen Louise (Mock) Nicklow. Preceded in death by his parents, and son John Gregory Nicklow. Survived by his wife the former Patricia J. Cresswell to whom he was married 43 years, brother and sisters: Ralph Nicklow and wife Patricia of Mt. Joy, Janet Ebersole and Debra Nist and husband William all of Somerset, also numerous nieces and nephews, close friends Ed Denner and Scott Gross, and John's loyal companion his dog Izzy. John was a 1967 graduate of JBJ High School, he was a US Navy veteran of Vietnam, he worked until his retirement as the maintenance supervisor for North Star School, he was a member of Laurel Ridge Sportsman's, and Old Timers Baseball League, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Friends received at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset from 5-8 p.m. Saturday and 12-2 p.m. Sunday, where a service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Michael Dunlap officiating.
