Kristine Veskosky-Malegni

Kristine M. Veskosky-Malegni,  was born in Windber, PA to Theodore "Ted"  and Donna (Croyle) Veskosky on November 8, 1970.  Kristine passed away in Plantation, FL on November 17, 2018.  She attended Nativity Catholic School in Hollywood, FL and St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, graduating with her class in 1988.  She became a Seminole at Florida State University, a sister of Alpha Gamma Delta, and graduated with a Bachelor in Education.  Kristine went on to graduate with a Master of Education from Florida Atlantic University.  Kristine's involvement with the Alumni Association at St. Thomas and Florida State were immense.  Kristine enjoyed her career as a Reading Specialist for the Broward and Palm Beach Schools.  Over the years, she taught at Marjorie Stoneman High School, Coral Springs High School, Miramar High School and West Boca High School.  She worked for the Florida State Dept of Education training other teachers to be Reading Specialists.  Kristine had a love over the years for her Yorkies.  Kristine loved all sports and was a true Raiders, Seminoles and Steelers fan. Survived by her parents of Plantation, FL, her younger brother Brian of Sherman Oaks, CA, her former husband, Joseph Malegni, and her Godparents, Chuck Percherkee and Kathy Niemiec Kozuch.  Also left to cherish her memory are her aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends Pamela Hurley, Shelly Tingle, Kelly Lawrence, and Mike Saviano.  Visiting hours will be at Fred Hunter's University Drive Funeral Home in Davie, FL on Friday, November, 23, 2018 from 4 to 8pm with a Prayer Service at 7pm.  A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 10am at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 200 North University Drive, Plantation, FL.    Friends will be received from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Somerset, PA where a mass will immediately follow at 10 a.m. with Father Mark Pattock O.F.M. cap Celebrant.
