Margie Gottel Obituary

Margie Gottel, 96, of Somerset, died May 1, 2018 at her home. Born October 1, 1921, she is the daughter of Michael and Pansy (Fullerton) Bereider. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Louis A. Gottel, brothers, Bill and Grant Bereider, sister Rose Shumaker and 8 infant brothers and sisters. Survived by her children; Louis E. Gottel and wife Barbara of New Holland, PA, twin sons, Dan B. Gottel and wife Jean of Lincoln University, PA, and Don B. Gottel and wife Mary of Vincentown, NJ, and Gail Wade and husband Steven of Somerset, also 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, also her sister Bonnie Lou Landis and husband Stanton of Berlin. Margie is a 1940 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School, she was an US Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII, and a member of Grace United Methodist Church. The family would like to extend their thanks to DaVita for the special care they provided Margie. Friends received 10-11 a.m. Saturday May 19th at Grace United Methodist Church, Somerset where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Reverend Eric Raygor officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions to Somerset "In Touch" Hospice PO Box 1173 Somerset, PA 15501.
