Marie Belinda Beistel, 88, of Somerset, died October 12, 2017 at The Patriot, Somerset. Born July 26, 1929 in Somerset she is the daughter of Clark and Mary (Beneck) Brougher.  Preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray Elwood Beistel who died July 6, 1977, brother Edward "Bud" Brougher and sisters, Dorothy Turney, Betty Tressler, and Edna Brougher.  Survived by her children, David E. Beistel and wife Sun Hui of North Pole, Alaska, Kaye Pugh and husband Wayne and Joyce Shaulis and husband Doug all of Somerset, grandchildren, David Beistel Jr., Su Garner and husband Jon, Michael Beistel and wife Lenie, Christine Beistel, Andrew Baker, April Hochard and husband Rich, Nick Shaulis and partner Josie, and Emily Shaulis, also great-grandchildren, Alyson, Mikayla, Hana, Grace, Jaida, Kennedy, Mia, Carson, Jaxson, and Evelyn.  Marie is a 1947 graduate of Somerset High School, she worked for many years for Acme Supermarket, and later for Gilmour Mfg where she retired.  She was also a former treasurer for Woodmen Life, a volunteer for Tam O'Shanters, and was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ.  Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset where a service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Reverend J.
