Mary Rita Albanese, 98, of Somerset, died December 16, 2019 at The Patriot. Born September 26, 1921 in Wilkinsburg, she is the daughter of Cristopolo and Maria (Poliza) Genovese. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph Thomas Albanese, son-in-law Joseph Caruso, and many brothers. Survived by her daughters; Christine Elder and husband Kenneth of Florence, KY, Jeanne Caruso, and Nancy Juskowich and husband Jack all of Waynesburg, also granddaughters; Deborah Elder and husband David Fletcher, and Kathy Elder all of Cincinnati, great-grandchildren Lauren and Jon. Mary was a graduate of Wilkinsburg High School, she worked as a nurse, and was a member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church in Somerset where she was a member of the Quilter's. Friends received 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Reverend Dena M. Gable officiating.
