Mary Ann Jacob

Mary Ann Jacob, 84, of Somerset, died July 14, 2019 at UPMC Somerset. Born November 24, 1934 in Frostburg, MD, she is the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Grace (Carroll) Miller. Survived by her husband Robert E. Jacob to whom she was married 53 years, children: Robert E. Jacob Jr. and wife Catherine of New York City, Laura A. Wozniak and husband Kevin of Lancaster, John W. Jacob and wife Melinda of Somerset, and Leslie C. Jacob of Chicago, grandchildren: Ann and Liza Jacob, Genevieve and Jacob Wozniak, John Jr., Patrick, Connor Elizabeth, Nicholas, Hannah, and Reese Jacob. Mary Ann was a graduate of St. Francis Academy, Saint Mary's College, and received her masters degree from Duquesne University. Earlier in life she taught speech and hearing therapy in Mt. Lebanon and later at St. Peter's Catholic School, she was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, volunteered with the SCI Prison Ministry, and was an avid bridge player with the Duplicate Bridge Club. Friends received 6-8 p.m Tuesday, a vigil for the deceased will be conducted at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday followed by visitation from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, a funeral mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset with Father Angelo Patti Celebrant.
