Michael R Ebersole

Michael R. Ebersole , 71, of Somerset, died March 31, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown. Born March 22, 1948 in Roaring Springs, Pa.  He is the son of John Emerson and Stella (Williams) Ebersole.  Preceded in death by his parents, son Michael Ebersole Jr. and brother John Ebersole.  Survived by wife of 25 years, Janet (Nicklow) Ebersole, children Brian and (Tracy) of Maggie Valley, N.C,  Steven and (Schelley) of Portage, Lisa Ebersole of Portage, stepchildren,  Melodie (Ray) Baldwin, of Somerset,  Duane Koontz of Acosta, and Brigitte (Scott) Gross of Somerset, also 13 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren, brother  Alvin (Beverly) of Longview, TX, sister Rebecca (William) Lobins of Matinsburg, PA, brother Daniel (Debbie) of Imler, PA , sister Julie (Drew) Patterson of Duncansville, PA and brothers Joseph (Bonnie) of Hollidaysburg, PA and Jacob (Dana)  Ebersole of Claysburg, PA. , along with numerous nieces, nephews and best  friend , Toby, the Jack Russell Terrier.  Michael was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the U.S  Navy aboard the U.S.S Rockford.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman that loved his boat. Michael was a member of  the Dunlo American Legion, Dunlo Sportsmen's Club, Beaverdale Sportsmen's Club and the Southfork Rifle Range.  Friends received 2-4  and 6-8 p.m.  Tuesday  at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Somerset,  where a service will be conducted  Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Joeseph Ebersole officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
