Norma "Jean" Manning

Norma "Jean" Manning, 83, of Somerset, died October 15, 2018 at Somerset Hospital.  Born August 14, 1935 in Jenners, she is the daughter of Joseph W.  and Mabel E. (Shumaker) Emerick.  Preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Kay Speigle and Ruth Lohr, brother, Robert Emerick, and best friend Pat Hudak Cama who died October 5, 2018.  Survived by her daughters, Cathy Foust and husband John of Somerset, and Susan Beal and husband Charles of Friedens, granddaughters, Jennifer Spangler Ginter of Somerset and Ashley Beal McCluskey and husband Michel of Somerset, also great-grandsons, Frederick and Zackary Blubaugh.  Jean enjoyed going to Atlantic City, Outer Banks, and Meadows Casino, she would talk about "old times" and growing up in WWII, and antiquing with her granddaughter Jennifer and special niece Karen Berkey. Jean enjoyed life and her two special kitties.  Friends received 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Reverend Brenda Beener officiating.  Interment Jenners Crossroads Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Somerset "In Touch" Hospice PO Box 1173, Somerset, PA 15501.
