Phyllis Russell Obituary

Phyllis Lorene Russell, 92, of Somerset, died August 7, 2019 at Siemon's Lakeview Manor. Born March 8, 1927 in Somerset, she is the daughter of J. Webster and Kathryn (Platt) Sevits. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence Burton Russell who died June 17, 1996, and siblings, Roy and Ruth Elizabeth Sevits and Mereda S. Bowman. Survived by her son Barry L. Russell and wife Connee, and grandson Barry "BJ" Russell Jr. all of Fort Collins, CO, also survived by her longtime friend and companion Thomas Klink of Somerset and his family. Phyllis was a 1941 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School, she work in administration for New York Life and later in sales for AAA where she retired, she was also a life member of the VFW Auxiliary, and Laurel Ridge Sportsman's Club. Friends received 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Sam Coughenour officiating.
