Robert Morrison Weimer

Robert Morrison Weimer, 87, of Boswell, an amazing patriarch, beloved husband, father, and much loved grandfather, died September 19, 2018 at Meadowview Nursing Center, Berlin.  Born June 8, 1931, in Somerset, he is the son of Ned and Nellie (Weigle) Weimer.  Preceded in death by his parents, brother Harold Weimer, sisters; Hazel Meyers and Lois Ann Walters, and half brother Lloyd Shaulis.  Survived by his wife the former Nellie "Mae" Sipple to whom he was married 67 years, children; Elva Turner and husband Raymond of Stoystown, Robert Weimer Jr. married to the former Elaine Krupper of Friedens, and Wanda Thomas of Berlin, grandchildren; John Turner, Michelle Eastly, Kristi Fisher, Amy Marteeny, Brandon and Seth Thomas, great grandchildren; Brenda, Michael, Robert, Quinn, Ashley, Elyssa, Alexander, Meghan, Asher, Chandler, Preston, Libby, Kendall, and Seth.  Robert worked from being a clerk to later being a yardmaster for B&O Railroad and later for CSX where he retired.  He was a member of Lodge 358 F&AM, Somerset Alliance Church, and he enjoyed telling family stories.  Friends received 3-8 p.m. Sunday at the Somerset Alliance Church and one hour prior to the service which will be conducted at 11 a.m. at the church, with Reverends Donald Robson and Larry Weigle officiating.  Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Somerset Alliance Church 708 Stoystown Rd.
