Shirley Ann Moon

Shirley Ann Moon, 81, of Somerset, died January 20, 2019 at Siemon's Lakeview Manor Estate.  Born May 21, 1937 in Somerset, she is the daughter of Luther Jay and Helen Ada (Traup) Shaulis Sr.  Preceded in death by her parents, husband William Robert Moon Sr. who died April 20, 2003, infant daughter Joyce Ann Moon, and brothers Roy A. and Donald L. Shaulis.  Survived by her sons: William R. Moon Jr. married to the former Michelle Petrosky and Scott A. Moon married to the former Melony Pritts all of Somerset, granddaughters: Miranda M. Frazier and husband Brian of Fairhope, and Aubrey A. Moon and fiance Robert Tipton of Somerset; great grandchildren: Mya, and Bowe, also brothers: Luther J. Shaulis Jr., Fred W. Shaulis and wife Nancy all of Somerset, and Jerry D. Shaulis and wife Kay of Beckley, WV.  Shirley is a 1955 graduate of Somerset High School, she worked as an LPN and later as a teacher's aid for Maple Ridge Elementary where she retired. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and former member of Order of Eastern Star in Hagerstown.  Friends received 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with James Moon officiating.  Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation 6520 N.
