Wendy Barnhart Obituary

Wendy Lee Barnhart, 63, of Somerset, went to be with the Lord on March 11, 2019 at Lake Wales Medical Center, Lake Wales FL. Born August 3, 1955, in Johnstown, she is the daughter of Dayton J. and Mildred M. (Wain) Lohr. Preceded in death by her parents, and a infant sister Patricia Gale Lohr. Survived by her husband of 43 years William G. "Pete" Barnhart Jr. and daughter Lori Lee Barnhart both of Somerset, sister Jackie (Lohr) Cook and husband John of Stoystown and, brothers Larry Lohr and wife Gloria, Robert Lohr and John Lohr and wife Tina all of Hooversville. Wendy is a 1973 graduate of Shade Central City High School, she was employed for 27 years by DeVilbiss Health Care as an assembler and material handler, and later retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a dispatcher with 14 years of service. Following retirement, Wendy volunteered as a Camp Ground Host with the Army Corps of Engineers at the Youghiogheny River Lake Outflow Campground for 5 years; she also enjoyed camping and spending time with her family and friends. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset. A private service will be held at later date at the convenience of the family with Reverend Nila Cogan officiating. Interment Husband Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to two organizations very close to the family; the Somerset Volunteer Fire Department at PO Box 121 Somerset or "Dress to the Nines" at PO Box 211, Somerset. www.haugerzeigler.com
