Alan Luther Miller

Alan Luther. Miller, 81, of Somerset, died June 12, 2022 at The Patriot. Born January 19, 1941 in Somerset, he is the son of Luther P. and Mary (Bittner) Miller. Preceded in death by his parents, and daughter-in-law Gayle Miller. Survived by his wife the former Lana Jean Maurer to whom he was married 60 years, children: Troy A. Miller, and Melanie P. Miler both of Somerset, granddaughter Lauren P. Caimano and husband Jacob of Greenburg, and brother Roger Miller and wife Gaye Sandler of New York City, NY. Alan was a 1959 graduate of Somerset High School, and attended the University of Pittsburgh, he worked until his retirement as owner/operator of Luther P. Miller Inc. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, past board member of Somerset Trust Co., Somerset Hospital, and past member of Somerset Rotary Club. He enjoyed traveling, skiing, and sailing. Friends received 3-7 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, a service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset with Reverend Ruth Jensen officiating.
