Amy Jo Mihalik, 72, longtime resident of Somerset, PA, and current resident of Knoxville, TN, passed away on July 9, 2025, at UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Born June 26, 1953, in Somerset, Amy is the daughter of the late Teddy Leroy McClintock and the late Floy Margaret (Barron) McClintock. Preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Gordon Mihalik. Survived by her children; son, Patrick Mihalik, married to the former Stacy Karafel, of Marietta, GA, and their son, Connor Mihalik; and daughter, Kelly Mihalik, of Knoxville, TN; also, brothers Thomas McClintock, married to the former Kathryn Hetrick, and Scott McClintock, married to the former Lenore "Muff" Mardis. Amy was a 1971 graduate of Somerset Area High School. She is a US Army Veteran, having served from 1976 - 1982, including as a member of the Women's Army Corps (WAC), after which she worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She was a member of Church of the Savior-United Church of Christ in Knoxville, TN, and former member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Somerset, PA. Friends received Tuesday, July 15th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, PA. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Somerset, with Reverend J. Matthew Deal officiating. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery.
