Ann Elaine Sechler

Ann Elaine (McCartney) Sechler, 72, went to be with our Lord on February 28, 2023 at her home. She was born September 4, 1950 in Pittsburgh. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray, grandson Austin, and parents Thomas and Mary Jane (Ray) McCartney. She is survived by her four children: daughters Karen Hill and husband Tony LoMedico, Jennifer Close and husband Bart, sons Roger Sechler and wife Laura, Jeffrey Sechler and wife Tacee; and seven grandchildren: Brody, Colby, Abby, Avery, Ezra, Teagan, and Elliot. She is also survived by her sister Susan Buck and niece Lisa Frost. Ann was a Registered Nurse and School Nurse Practitioner, and retired as the school nurse from Rockwood Area School District. She was also a nurse at Somerset Hospital, Presbyterian Hospital and Patriot Manor throughout her career. Ann also was an Adjunct Professor of nursing at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. She was an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church in New Centerville where she served as a Sunday school teacher, Catechism teacher and was the organist for over 40 years. Ann volunteered in many capacities within the community over the years, and was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Friends received 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, a service will be conducted at 11 a.m.. Friday at Messiah Lutheran Church, Rockwood, with Pastor Nathan Pile officiating. Interment New Centerville Union Cemetery.
