Arthur Gusbar Jr, 88, of Listie, Pennsylvania, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on Thursday, on March 6th, 2025 at his home. Born December 23, 1936 he is the son of Arthur and Thelma (Zellem) Gustbar Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents a sister Mary Ann (Jack Rhoades) and brother Robert (Beverly). He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 70 years, Mardianne (Spangler), his son, Frederick Gusbar (Jeanne Friedline), his daughters Barbara (Jeffrey) Igou, and Margaret (Michael) Gelpi, 15 grandchildren and 29 great- grand children. Arthur was respected in the construction and mining communities for his work in engineering. He was a lifelong faithful Catholic, took an active part in St Peter's Parish on the finance council, and cemetery records. He was an avid outdoorsman and thoroughly enjoyed tying flies, teaching his children, and grandchildren hunting and fly-fishing locally as well as out west and in Canada. Friends received 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset A funeral mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday with Father Angelo Patti Celebrant.
