Barry Eugene Forney

Barry Eugene "Hippie" Forney, 69 of Boswell formerly of Jennerstown, entered the gates of Heaven peacefully surrounded by his family on February 27, 2023 at his daughters home. Born May 8, 1953 in Somerset, he is the son of William Edward and Winifred Mae "Winnie" (Delancey) Forney. Preceded in death by his parents, wife the former Ida Katherine Hause, brother Daniel L. Forney, and an infant sister Ruth, and infant great-grandson Noah Hillegass, and brother-in-law Peter Semo. Survived by his daughters; Melissa Rock and husband Paul of Somerset, and Jessica Kozuch and husband Jeff of Boswell, grandchildren: Cassandra, Angellika, Paul Jr., and Zachary, sister Carol Semo of Youngstown, and brother Terry Forney and wife Tina of Jennerstown, also good friend Robert Booher, and numerous nieces and nephews. Barry worked for Mormon Coal and Service and numerous sawmills until his retirement, he was always eager to share his testimony of the Lord, and had a loving church family at Christian Community Church in Boswell, he enjoyed hunting fishing and trapping. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday with Reverend Charles T.
