Betty Manges-Oster age 97, a devoted wife and mother went to be with the Lord on October 12, 2025. She was born on January 30, 1928 in Amsbury, PA. . Betty was preceded in death by husband Robert Manges and husband Walter Oster, mother: Florance Sager Patrick, siblings: Peggy Friedline (Donald), Jim Patrick, George Patrick, Jr. (Marion), favorite Uncle: Harvey J. Sager, all other aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her children Connie A. Welch (David), Sandy J. Hinson (Terry), and Dan Manges. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Jennifer Lynch (Patrick), Matthew Welch (Brianna), Heather Welch, Natalie Morris (Keith), Amy Giovanelli (Victor), Andy Hinson (Trisha), Lynn Smith, Danny Manges, and Kurt Manges Renata dos Santos, adopted granddaughter. Also, 25 great grandchildren: Zachary, Johnny, and Jackson Lynch, as well as Emma Labrecht; Hunter, Callista, and Meredith Welch; Kayland Pappas (Grant), Esther, Isaac, and Naomi Morris; Celina, Izzy, and Matthew Giovanelli; Christian, Caden, and Geralyn Hinson; Kyle and Tyler Smith; Bradley, Preston and Connor Manges; Evan, Anthony, and Selah Manges. She was an active member of the Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle in Jennerstown. Betty was a fun-loving person, friends with many, and a real servant of the Lord. She spent much of her childhood during World War II moving from family to family so that they could all survive. This experience gave her a personality that could not be duplicated. She spent much of her younger life at her grandparents home riding a horse, working, and jumping trains in Listie. She was adventuresome, gregarious, and cautiously loving, as well as in later life an avid seamstress, and traveler. She loved her family and her Lord; no one could argue with that. Friends received 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gary Anderson, officiating.
