Carl Morgan Obituary

Carl Nelson Morgan, 94, of Somerset, died February 1, 2022 at The Patriot. Born April 25, 1927 in Jerome, he is the son of Edward Lewis and Harriet Belle (Deneen) Morgan. Preceded in death by his parents, wife the former June Walker who died October 3, 2020, and 10 brothers and sisters. Survived by children: Mindy G. Scango and husband Joe of Great Falls, VA, and Carl D. Morgan and wife Jennifer of Reston, VA, also grandchildren: Megan E. Fremming and husband Jeff, Justin E. and Ellen M. Scango and great-granddaughter Melody Walker Fremming, and sister Gladys Horning of Deltona, FL. Carl was a US National Guard Veteran, he worked until his retirement as manager of the McNelly School Bus Company in Ligonier. He was also a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Lodge 358 F&AM, and was also an animal lover, and used to enjoy tapping his own trees and making maple syrup. Friends received 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the Bethany United Methodist Church, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Reverend Barry K. Ritenour officiating.
